About Janki
Janki is a renowned jewelry designer brand hailing from India, celebrated for its fusion of contemporary style with the country's rich cultural heritage.
Internship Overview
From May to June 2024, I worked at Janki as the sole UI designer, reporting directly to the CEO. I designed the website and mobile version for a seamless shopping experience, created social media posts, managed accounts, and worked on graphic design projects. This internship enhanced my skills in UI/UX, social media strategy, and brand-focused design.

Understanding the Brand & Goals
Janki’s main customers were women aged 25–45 who valued high-quality silver jewelry. However, Janki aimed to expand its reach to Gen Z buyers as well.
Competitive Analysis
To improve Janki’s online experience, I researched competitors like Palmons and other Indian silver jewelry brands, analyzing website design & UX, brand positioning, and checkout flow. This helped identify gaps and opportunities to make Janki’s website more appealing and user-friendly.
Key Findings
Some websites were too cluttered, making browsing difficult.
Many lacked quality certifications, causing trust issues.
The buying process was often too complicated.
